Offering a visionary Local Plan for Medway 2035

Like so many, Medway has been my home since birth and I expect to carry on living here for many years to come. That is why I want our Local Plan to be visionary and ensure our towns become prosperous and continue to be wonderful places to call home.

To Help Achieve a Visionary Local Plan for Medway

I have been working on the Medway Local Plan 2014-2035 since my election, and it is my belief that this the single most important issue facing Medway over the next twenty years. It is therefore vital we get it right at the first time of asking.

Improving access to GPs and health services

Rochester and Strood's GP practices are under increasing strain to provide the service necessary for a growing population. We have already seen a couple of single-handed practices close which adds to the pressure on others.

Fighting Unsustainable Development in Our Green Space

Predatory development and plans to build on our green spaces have caused deep stress and anxiety, particularly out on the Hoo Peninsula which is one of the most beautiful parts of North Kent. While some development is necessary the numbers proposed around Hoo and Lodge Hill are absurd.

Supporting Local Business and Apprenticeships

Since my election, it has been a pleasure to welcome so many engaged local businesses to Parliament, all of which face big challenges but have still secured success for themselves and the region.

Securing infrastructure investment

North Kent has been neglected for some time when it comes to investment, and since the closure of the dockyards and the cement industry Medway sadly suffered but we now have a great opportunity to put our area and the wonderful things we have to shout about back on the map.

Support St Mary’s Island School Expansion

I am proud to support the local Conservative candidates for River Ward in asking River Ward residents to support us in our campaign to get your school expanded.

St Mary’s Island School is a victim of its own success. Under the leadership of its Head and hardworking team, it is now severely over-subscribed with no places left.

As we approach the next phase of St. Mary's Island’s development we want to make sure families have the chance to send their children to the best school closest to their home.

Stop Lodge Hill development

I’ve campaigned against the proposed development on Lodge Hill.

As a local councillor, I’ve fought this all the way and am working with the Hands Off Hoo campaign to protect the area from this development.

I’m committed to protecting this beautiful part of our countryside. I also know the pressure this development would put on our roads, schools and hospital. That’s why it must be stopped.

If you agree, sign the petition below to stop the Lodge Hill development.
